All transactions are conducted in Pounds Sterling. The currency convertor is for illustration purposes only, to give you an indication, at current exchange rates, what your card will be charged in your local currency. If in doubt about the conversion rate to currencies other than those offered by our converter, please e-mail us with the details of your order and we will be happy to calculate the likely price in your own currency.  Payments via this website will always be processed in pounds sterling and your credit card will be charged in your local billing currency by your credit card provider. We only accept payment via credit or debit card on this site.

Tariffs, Taxes & VAT
Prices on the Eliabeth Martin Tweed website are quoted inclusive of UK taxes (VAT). The price without VAT is also shown in smaller figures for illustration for non-European Union buyers.
For delivery to countries inside the European Union (EU), prices including VAT are applied. For delivery countries outside of the EU, prices exclusive of VAT are applied. For all non-EU deliveries, purchasers are responsible for duties and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country. A commercial invoice is provided with all goods shipped.

Dispatch Timescales
We will always try to dispatch your goods within 48 hours of receipt of order, assuming we have the item/s in stock. If we do not have the item/s in stock, we will quickly advise you of this and let you know how long it will take for us to make up your order especially for you. Typically this will be around three weeks. If you would like to enquire about stock levels before placing your order, please feel free to call us or email us – details are on our Contact Us page.

Payments for orders placed through our website are by Credit or Debit Card Transaction via our Secure Server, where your card details are encrypted before being sent to us, fully protecting any confidential information from prying eyes. Please note that card transactions are processed when goods are dispatched, not when you place the order.

Invoices & Receipts
We send a receipt for all orders, either with the goods or to follow in the post, except those sent to third parties as Gifts. In these cases we send a separate receipt direct to the purchaser.

Delivery Information

We aim to deliver your goods within 5 working days from receipt of your order (subject to stock availability). In the event that a particular item is temporarily out of stock, we will advise you accordingly and provide an estimated delivery date.

Should you require an item in a hurry, let us know and we will do our level best to assist.

Delivery charges are per order and vary according to destination as follows:

Delivery Costs
UK delivery small parcel £4.95, large parcel £8.95.
delivery to EU zone of Europe : £30.00
delivery to USA : £40.00
delivery to other countries in cluding non-EU Europe : £65.00
For countries outside the EU, shipments are sent free of UK sales tax but purchasers are responsible for duties and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country. A commercial invoice is provided with all goods shipped.
Orders are sent to you via a secure designated carrier like and will always require a signature on delivery. Orders sent within the UK should arrive on the day after dispatch, except for outlying areas, and orders sent overseas will usually arrive within a week of dispatch. Very small items my be sent by post but will often still require to be signed for.
Please allow more time for delivery at busy periods like Christmas.
Orders are processed for delivery on working days only (Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays).
We cannot process orders to P.O. Box addresses unless by specific arrangement.

Returns policy
We hope that you are delighted with your order, however, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied we are happy to offer a refund, exchange or replacement on all goods returned to us within 14 days of delivery provided they are in their original, unused condition.
Please note that we cannot accept returned goods that we reasonably believe have been used.
Enclosed with your order will be a Returns Note. Please complete this in full. Return the product to us in its original, unused condition within 14 working days of delivery ensuring the parcel is properly sealed with the completed Returns Note enclosed. You should obtain and retain Proof of Postage. In the unlikely event that we do not receive the returned parcel, we cannot accept liability for returned goods lost in transit.

We will notify you by email on receipt of your returned parcel. Please allow 30 working days for your refund, exchange or replacement to be processed.

Please note that delivery charges cannot be refunded.
In the event that items listed on the Delivery Note do not match those contained in your parcel; or goods are received damaged or faulty in any way, please notify us immediately (within 2 days).

Goods Damaged in Transit
Unfortunately, we are not responsible for damage which occurs after the goods have been handed to the postal or courier service. However, should you be unfortunate enough to receive damaged goods, let us know immediately. Please retain all relevant documentation so that we can make an insurance claim against the carrier’s insurers. If the parcel you receive is battered, please note the fact when you sign for it, even before you open the package to examine the contents. If you are unable to open the damaged package in the presence of the carrier, make sure that you sign for it as “Damaged package; goods not yet inspected” to warn the carrier that a claim may follow.

Title to the Goods
Title for goods belongs to Elizabeth Martin Tweed until your full payment is cleared, at which point it transfers to you in its entirety.

Unavailable Goods
In the event that we cannot ship your whole order within 72 hours of receipt, we will usually dispatch a part order and notify you with regard to items delayed through lack of stock. In the unlikely event that we are unable to supply your choice of goods for some while, or at all, we will contact you for instructions. Providing a telephone number or e-mail address with your order makes it easier for us to contact you in this event.
Please note that Card transactions are only processed when goods are dispatched.
